On November 7th, 2025, AYLUS Syosset held its 19th volunteer-led basketball activity at Syosset-Woodbury Community Park (11791). Volunteers Gary (16), Rick (15), and Danny (13) guided participants through one hour of fundamental drills, including dribbling, passing, and shooting practice. From 10:00–11:00, players aged six and above joined friendly scrimmage games, while younger children played safely nearby under parental supervision. The event continued to support local families by offering a free, outdoor sports environment that encourages teamwork, physical activity, and confidence building.
Parents and volunteers helped maintain a positive atmosphere by assisting younger players, sharing light snacks, and ensuring safety throughout the morning. Despite the cool November weather, the group’s energy remained high, and participants enjoyed a fun and healthy start to their weekend. Through this ongoing weekly program, AYLUS Syosset remains committed to fostering youth leadership and community engagement through consistent, volunteer-based physical activity.
