Newtown AYLUS Pumpkin Painting on October 18th

On Saturday, 10/18/2024, members of the AYLUS Newtown Branch organized a special event dedicated to painting pumpkins, which were later donated to a local senior center to create festive decorations for the upcoming Halloween season and to bring joy to the seniors.

Participants painted pumpkins with creative designs inspired by classic Halloween themes such as ghosts, black cats, and skeletons. The activity encouraged artistic expression, teamwork, and a sense of accomplishment in a fun, supportive environment. Volunteers enjoyed working together, sharing ideas, and preparing the pumpkins for donation. Through this community service, volunteers supported local seniors and contributed positively to the neighborhood. The event also fostered a relaxed, social atmosphere that encouraged relationship building among members.

Six members participated, including Albert Chen (event leader), Eric Chen, Diana Zhang, Justin Peng, Kylee Guo and Sophia An all contributed 1.5 hours.
