AYLUS Dix Hills Helped out at Long Island Chinese School

On Sunday, October 26th, the AYLUS Dix Hills Branch volunteered at the Long Island Chinese school as teaching assistants. Volunteers came and signed in half hour earlier than normal at 1pm to help set up Halloween decorations such as haunted trees and banners around the lobby. Volunteers also gave out candy to students, giving extra if the student was wearing a costume. After decorations had been set up and most students had arrived, volunteers went to help teachers in assigned classrooms. Volunteers assisted by grading homework and handing out class work materials, allowing the teacher to more easily teach the class. Volunteers left at 3:30pm today.
