On Tuesday, October 21st, 2025, from 6:00 to 7:00 PM, three AYLUS volunteers — Rebecca Xu, Serena Chen, and Brian Zhang — aided students with homework at the Great Neck Station Library. They answered any questions about what was given to them so that they could help everyone to the best of their ability.
Serena helped an 8th grader with math, as well as another student with English, ensuring that they understood everything. Rebecca worked with a 6th grader, helping him cover test material for pre-algebra. Finally, Brian aided a 7th grader with his science homework on chemical reactions and his social studies assignment. He also assisted a 3rd grader with English writing skills, and her sister with reading. Today’s session accomplished a lot, and under the volunteers’ guidance, the children were able to finish their work.
