AYLUS Great Neck Branch Volunteers at Steppingstone Park for a community Scarecrow Festival

On October 19, 2025, members of the AYLUS Great Neck Branch went to Stepping Stone Park to help host a community Scarecrow Festival. Our volunteers worked together with families and local residents to set up materials, assist children in making creative scarecrows, and organize fun activities throughout the day. Everyone contributed their efforts and enthusiasm, creating a joyful and welcoming atmosphere.

Our main tasks included preparing hay, sticks, and clothes for the scarecrow-making stations, guiding families on how to assemble their own scarecrows, and helping with decoration and cleanup. Through teamwork and cooperation, we ensured that the event ran smoothly and that every participant could fully enjoy the experience.

During the event, we saw families laughing together, children proudly showing their handmade scarecrows, and neighbors getting to know one another better. It was a heartwarming reminder of how community events can bring people closer and strengthen friendships. Our volunteer team also became more united as we supported each other and worked toward a shared goal.

This event not only made Stepping Stone Park lively and full of joy but also helped our team grow closer as friends. Working together allowed us to communicate better, understand one another more deeply, and build stronger bonds within our community. Through this experience, we realized that even small efforts can make families, friends, and neighbors feel more connected. We hope to continue organizing activities that bring people together and make our community warmer and happier.
