Syosset AYLUS visited the Sangha learning center on 7/23/2025

On Wednesday, July 23rd, Syosset AYLUS visited the Sangha Learning Center, a non-profit organization that provides a safe space for individuals with high-functioning ADHD, autism, and OCD to come together and decompress. During this visit, we were able to make and stain cajun drums that we learned about in the previous week. We used different colors and patterns that we thought we unique to customize our own drums. This interactive experience allowed us to get up close with a variety of marine animals. We were able to gently touch and observe different species, learning about their habitats, behaviors, and roles in the ecosystem. For many of us, it was a rare opportunity to connect with marine life in a hands-on way, which deepened our appreciation for ocean biodiversity and conservation.
