AYLUS Dix Hills Participated in Nassau County’s Mid-Autumn Festival

On Sunday, October 5th, from 2pm to 5:30pm, volunteers from the AYLUS Dix Hills Branch participated in Nassau County’s 3rd Annual Mid-Autumn Festival at Eisenhower Park. Upon arrival, volunteers checked in at the Office of Asian American Affairs table before assembling simple square plastic lanterns to distribute to attendees. They also helped transport large boxes of supplies and equipment to various stations throughout the event. Later, several volunteers were reassigned to a different table, where they handed out colorful lanterns with characters and multicolored lights to children. To ensure fairness, parents were required to have their child present at the table to receive a lantern. As the table grew increasingly popular, volunteers worked diligently to manage the line and confirm that each child received only one lantern.

Thanks to the dedication and teamwork of the AYLUS Dix Hills Branch volunteers, the Mid-Autumn Festival ran smoothly, and attendees enjoyed a well-organized and festive experience.
