On 9/29/25, AYLUS Basking Ridge held a Tech Support Program at Ridge Oak Center. That morning, members spent time helping seniors set up their new iPads, download apps, connect to the building’s Wi-Fi, and explore other handy features. Volunteers worked patiently alongside each participant, walking them through every step, celebrating little “aha” moments, and offering encouragement when a task felt tricky. The room buzzed with conversation, laughter, and the excitement of seniors discovering new ways to stay connected and engaged with the world.
Beyond teaching technical skills, the program gave seniors a genuine sense of confidence and independence. They left with not only the knowledge to use their devices but also the pride of having mastered something new. Many shared smiles, stories, and plans to show their families what they had learned. For the volunteers and seniors alike, the morning was about more than technology—it was about connection, shared learning, and the joy of helping one another grow.
