On August 1, 2025, AYLUS Bellaire volunteered at the Genuine Cup Soccer Tournament at Rice University from 7am-11:30am and 4pm-9pm to support athletes with special needs. The Genuine Cup is a soccer tournament that hosts 12 teams for a global soccer tournament for athletes with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
Members volunteered at the soccer tournament and helped cheer on the players, retrieve balls, pass out supplies, all to ensure the event ran smoothly. During the matches, volunteers stood near the field to retrieve and pass back balls when they went out of bounds. After the matches, AYLUS members lined up the teams that had finished playing to congratulate them and give them high fives. This made the players feel accomplished and helped the event be an enjoyable experience for everyone.
