On Monday, July 28th, Syosset AYLUS visited the Sangha Learning Center, a non-profit organization that provides a safe space for individuals with high-functioning ADHD, autism, and OCD to come together and decompress. During this visit, we made a soothing skincare cream using natural ingredients like milk and honey. We poured equal amounts into individual bowls so that members could try and enjoy the calming mixture. Afterward, we were able to wipe and clean our hands, and many people said their hands felt noticeably smoother. Later in the session, we experienced singing bowls and sound healing practices. We also learned about various stones, such as ruby, jet, and tigerite, and their different properties. We then closed our eyes and listened to the unique vibrations and tones of different instruments, creating a peaceful and relaxing atmosphere for everyone.
