Syosset AYLUS Volunteers At LINPI 7/12/25

On July 13th, members of the Syosset AYLUS volunteered at the Long Island Native Plant Initiative (LINPI) to continue their ongoing support of local environmental efforts. Throughout the day, volunteers worked on splitting mature plants and potting them to produce new batches, helping to grow the inventory of native species. They also assisted with preparing fresh planting soil, by moistening it and adding nutrients. Over the past weeks, we did similar jobs since according to Pam, a manager of the site, it is the time of year for these activities.
