The Mclean AYLUS Branch collaborated with POI and volunteered at POI’s volunteering activity at a local senior assistance home. This activity took place on 06/29/2025, from 2 pm to 4 pm.
In this local Northern Virginia area, there are many wonderful senior assistance homes that are available for volunteers to assist with. The first thing that we participated in with them was board games such as Connect 4; card games like Uno; drawing simple art pieces; working on simple, but yet challenging puzzles. During this, some of our volunteers also played a balloon toss game, gently throwing the balloon to them to work on simple movements. For the next half of the volunteers, we were able to play BINGO with them either calling out the BINGO numbers and letters or joining in on BINGO with them. Overall, it was a pleasant volunteer and we hope to join them again.
