Mclean Branch Invasive Species Cleanup Event 11/01/2024

Reported by Sarah Tao

The AYLUS Mclean Branch participated in the Community Invasive Species Cleanup Event at Accotink Stream Valley Park on November 1st, 2024 from 10:00 am to 12:30 pm.

Invasive Species has been a prevalent issue in many parts of the world today, harming both the environment as well as disrupting the ecosystem in the area. By removing these invasive species that are been displaced in this area, it both helps the birth of new, native plants and ensuring the health of local forest animals. We believe that our efforts to keep the invasive species from invading the precious creatures and plants in our area is one step in ensuring an overall balance in the ecosystem.

Thanks for the  following five members participated in this event: Sarah Tao (2.5h),Emma Tao (2.5h), Emma Tsao (2.5h), Molin Ding ( 2.0h)  and Lexin Zhu ( 2.5h)
