On Sunday, Oct 4th volunteers from the Alyus attended this season’s first Therapeutic Skating Program gathered at the Andrew Stergiopoulos Ice Rink for an afternoon of mentorship and skill-building for the young skaters. Today is our last class for this season. From 2:15 o 3:15 p.m., each volunteer helped skaters to practice new skills. Helped new skaters to learn basic skating techniques .Through patient encouragement, the volunteers helped the skaters build the confidence to take risks safely. By the conclusion of the session, the progress was visible as the skaters can confidently demonstrate skills and skate independently. It was an inspiring and friendly event for both the participants and the volunteers.
