On Saturday, August 29, 2026, volunteers from Syosset Aylus continued to spend their mornings helping out at the weekly CCE Nassua Farmer’s Market at Eisenhower Park Field 8. There are three shifts total with a maximum limit of 4 volunteers per shift. Members of the first shift arrived as early as 7:30 in the morning to help Jennifer and other vendors to set up tents and tables, prepare the activity sections for kids, and publicly open the market at 9 am. Later, volunteers from the second start to arrive in addition to the morning shift, continuing to help by carrying out items, taking charge at the activity center, and handing out punch cards. Finally, the last shift of volunteers arrives as the market starts to wind down and close at 1 pm. These volunteers help Jennifer and other vendors pack up their tents, tables, posters, and flags by 2 pm.
Additionally, this weekend was Happy Health and Wellness! To promote the awareness of our health, organizations such as Catholic Health came to do free screenings of blood pressure, vision tests, and posters about mental and physical health. Adding on to that, volunteers did an amazing job handling the front table with answering multiple questions about the market, especially questions about how to become a vendor, attracting kids at the activity table, and jogging around to carry items and offer direction.
