On Sunday, August 30, 2026, the AYLUS Great Neck Branch returned to Kings Point Park to continue maintaining and improving the park’s walking trails. Despite the warm weather and persistent mosquitoes, volunteers stayed dedicated to helping keep the trails clean, safe, and accessible for members of the community.
Throughout the service event, volunteers worked together to spread and smooth out mulch, clear away oversized wood chips that were creating obstacles on the pathways, and fill in tire tracks caused by maintenance vehicles. These efforts helped improve the condition of the trails and create a more comfortable environment for both visitors and park personnel.
By contributing their time and effort to the park, AYLUS volunteers continued to support the local community and promote environmental stewardship. The project also highlighted the importance of teamwork, responsibility, and community service in keeping shared public spaces well-maintained.
