On August 22nd, 2026, the AYLUS Houston Branch volunteered at Family Hope fair, where they aided in their mission to provide food for those in need in the local Katy area. For three hours, volunteers helped pack bags of produce and dry food before distributing to the cars that drove by.
Volunteers first lined up for dried goods, where their teamwork allowed for bags to be filled with cereal, chips, canned goods, beans, and much more, before being put out to the side for later distribution. Afterwards, volunteers helped pack bags of produce, with bananas, potatoes, tomatoes, and more to be added to bags before being distributed. Because of the hard work of volunteers, they were able to efficiently create bags, and pack them into the cars of those who needed food, providing fresh produce for all who needed.
We are thankful for all the volunteers, and their willingness to participate in the packing and delivering food, allowing those in need to receive food they otherwise wouldn’t have gotten. We are grateful for the opportunity, and look forward to the next time the branch is able to help again.
Volunteers (3 hours): Stella Zhao (project leader), Zijia Xu, Xiaoyuan Guo, Lehan, Tianshuo, Lingxuan, Yinan Shen
