Today at Fellowship Village, volunteers helped seniors with a variety of technology questions. One senior wanted to learn how to rearrange the home screen on their Android phone and organize their apps more efficiently. Volunteers demonstrated how to move app icons to different locations on the home screen, create a layout that was easier to navigate, and remove apps from folders by dragging them back onto the home screen. The resident practiced these steps with guidance until they felt comfortable organizing their device independently.
At today’s technology support session, volunteers helped seniors build confidence in personalizing and navigating their devices through hands-on instruction. By patiently walking residents through each step and allowing them to practice on their own, volunteers encouraged greater independence with everyday technology. The session also strengthened the connections between volunteers and seniors, reinforcing the welcoming and supportive community at Fellowship Village.
