Reported by Alyssa Xiang

On July 7th, at the Food Bank of Eastern Oklahoma, seven members of the Greater Tulsa AYLUS branch sorted and packed food to help prevent food insecurity in the community and provide for those who are in need. We first labeled bags, then weighed rice grains, and finally had them neatly packed into boxes.

Working alongside other volunteers, we packed approximately 1,440 pounds of rice during this volunteer session from 1:00-3:00 PM.

Volunteer hours: 2 hours
