On Thursday, July 23rd, the Great Neck AYLUS Branch hosted another excellent tutoring session at the Great Neck Station Library. Due to the larger number of students today, each tutor was able to attend to a child. Brian Zhang assisted a student with AMC-8 practice questions, focusing on identifying patterns and sequences in math. Olivia Kang supervised two children; all together, they explored a variety of different books and participated in the library activities offered. Linzi Yeung worked with a fourth grader, reading a wide selection of different books. Additionally, they participated in the library’s scavenger hunt. Lucy Ding practiced English vocabulary with her student through reading, guiding her through the various stories with expertise. Overall, the session was busy and productive, proving to be entertaining for both the tutors and students. The next session will be on Tuesday, July 28th.
