Syosset AYLUS volunteers at LINPI 7/18/26

On July 18th, members of the Syosset AYLUS organization volunteered in LINPI (Long Island Native Plant Initiative). Throughout the event, volunteers tagged plants to assist with organization and identification, repotted native plants into larger containers to promote healthy root development and continued growth, and prepared nutrient-rich, fertilized soil for future plantings. In addition, members helped lay the foundation for the next growing season by organizing and placing planting cups into trays, ensuring that future seedlings could be efficiently cultivated. Through their teamwork and dedication, the volunteers supported ongoing conservation efforts while helping protect and expand native plant populations across Long Island.
