AYLUS Syosset volunteers at CCE Farmers Market 7/11/26

On Saturday, July 11th, 2026, volunteers at AYLUS Syosset spent their morning at the CCE Farmers Market. Located on Field 8 of Eisenhower park, the first volunteers arrived as early as 7:30AM to set up tents and tables, prepping the area and helping other vendors before the market opened to the public at 9:00 AM. Throughout the day, volunteers assisted various local vendors selling items like flowers, fresh honey products, farm groceries, cookies, and spices. Finally, the afternoon shift helped wind things down when the market closed at 1:00 PM, assisting vendors and packing away the tables and tents by 2:00 PM.

This weekend, CCE Nassau hosted a Fig Fare at the market. In contrast to the usual open field surrounded by normal vendors, fig tree and merch vendors were placed in the middle, where shoppers could buy a variety of fig themed products. At the entrance of the market, a trio of members sat at the front tent, greeting attendees and keeping a steady headcount of the day’s visitors that would later be analyzed to determine what factors of the market brought in the most customers. Right next to the head tent, we set up the usual kids’ tent packed with coloring, worksheets, and toys. The kids stayed active with hula hoops, jump ropes, and soccer balls with even some adults coming by to pick up color sheets. To tie it all together, any extra volunteers roamed the grounds to carry heavy shopping bags, answer questions, and direct everyone to the newly relocated Taste New York booth.
