On July 12th, 2026, the AYLUS Foundation held our second Arts & Crafts Workshop, where volunteers continued crocheting mini octopuses to donate to hospitals, homeless shelters, and other community organizations. At the beginning of the workshop, we gathered our materials, welcomed everyone, and everyone got ready to start working.
During this workshop, Emma Wei taught the group how to crochet the mini octopuses, demonstrating each step, answering questions, and helping participants fix mistakes as they worked. By the end of the session, everyone successfully finished their octopuses, creating handmade gifts that will help bring comfort and smiles to people in hospitals, homeless shelters, and other places in our community.
This workshop was a wonderful opportunity to learn a new skill while giving back through community service. It was exciting to see everyone’s progress from start to finish, and we are proud of the finished octopuses we created together. We are also looking forward to our next workshop, where we will learn how to crochet a bunny and continue making handmade donations for those in need.
Volunteers that participated:
