On the 14th of July, 2026, AYLUS Lake Washington members Elissa Song, and Kevin Chen volunteered at the Big Rock Park Central Heritage Garden with the Sammamish Botanical Garden Society. They helped remove invasive plants in the garden, weeded around the perimeter, and learned about important environmental skills and ways to effectively identify weeds. They collected around two buckets of weed each. Our members agree that this was an excellent opportunity to help out in the community and contribute positively to the environment. They each volunteered for two hours, starting at 10:00 AM and ending at 12:00 PM.
