On Friday, June 5, 2026, our volunteers supported the City of Pearland Concerts in the Park, held at the Pearland Independence Park.
At the event, the volunteers assisted with running the information booth, greeting guests, collecting guest surveys, distributing raffle tickets, documenting winners, handing out prizes, and cleaning up after the event. Despite several rounds of stop-and-go rain, our volunteers kept the energy up throughout the event.
In addition to running the information booth, our volunteers went above and beyond by proactively taking the raffle straight to people so they didn’t have to wait in line to complete the survey. Towards the end of the event, our volunteers also assisted with handing out complimentary gifts to senior guests. Everyone was incredibly thankful for our volunteers.
Once again, our volunteering helped make this city-sponsored event a success. These weekly concerts act as a natural gathering place for neighbors who might otherwise never cross paths. It is a great way to break down social barriers in a relaxed, open setting. Through these events, our volunteers helped build a stronger community that promotes friendships, mutual support, and inclusivity.
