In May 2026, AYLUS organized a Food Bank Food Drive with the goal of collecting food donations to support local food banks and help families in need. Through this service activity, volunteers contributed to addressing food insecurity in the community and encouraged greater awareness of the importance of helping others.
The most needed items collected during the food drive included:
- Canned fruit
- Cereal
- Canned meat and fish
- Canned soup
- Canned vegetables
- Pasta
- Peanut butter
- Granola and protein bars
A total of two volunteers participated in this activity. They helped collect and organize donated food items for the food bank. Zoe Ying and Qi (Derek) Ying earned 1 hour of community service for their participation.
The Food Bank Food Drive was a meaningful opportunity for volunteers to give back to the community and support families facing food shortages. AYLUS appreciates the efforts of all participants and looks forward to organizing similar service projects in the future.
