On a chilly Friday, Yucheng, Baiyu, and Jaden came to the park with an open mind, playing with Jack so he can feel appreciated in the Great Neck community. The volunteers played a variety of sports and activities including table tennis and badminton. For a time, Baiyu and Jack shared some quiet and peaceful time on the swings. While the other volunteers waited patiently and played by themselves until they all went happily to the playground and played freeze tag. Running around the playground and slides, they noticed that Jack smiled faintly. Although it’s small progress, the volunteers definitely notice that Jack started to become more active and cheerful about playing sports and spending time with friends.
