West Essex AYLUS volunteers at Essex County Earth Day Celebration on 4/26/26

On 4/26/26, West Essex AYLUS members volunteered at the Essex NJ earth day event from 10:30am – 3:30pm. Prior to Earth day regular event, members helped participating children interact with the animals and worked on setup, popcorn station, food and drink table and tear down.

Essex County held its annual Earth Day celebration for 2025 on Sunday, April 27.

The free, family-friendly event took place from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Essex County Environmental Center, 621B Eagle Rock Avenue in Roseland. It includes hands-on educational games and activities, canoe trips, bird walks, environmental information booths, live nature-themed music and an “eco-market,”.

“Earth Day gives us a special time to appreciate our world and reminds us of the importance of keeping our air and water clean,” Essex County Executive Joseph DiVincenzo Jr. said.
