On Sunday, April 19, AYLUS Roslyn volunteers went back to visit the CP Nassau residents at their Bayville location from 10:30 AM to 1:30 PM. We started the day by saying hi to all the residents. We started off with bowling because the residents always have a ton of fun with it. Everyone got to take a few turns and we helped guide their hands to knock down the pins, though it was really exciting to see some residents do it all by themselves without any help. We even got some people who usually don’t play to try a few rounds. After that, we played a new game where we threw velcro soccer balls onto velcro targets. Some participants had more trouble than others, but we still encouraged everyone to participate. To end the day, we played Jeopardy on the Wii like we always do since they request it every time. Everyone picked categories and had a great time answering questions and learning new things together. We had a great time this week.
