AYLUS Oakland Gardens Branch had a Special balloon making event (03/19/2024)

On Tuesday March 19, 2024 our team received another special balloon making event. The entire event lasted an hour. This is the 55th event held by AYLUS Oakland Gardens. We made balloons for our goal of making a library for Africa along with an extra 500 dollars for the supplies and the shipping cost. Every book donated and every dollar raised sends us a step closer to achieving our goal.

Since Tuesday is school day, our members worked hard to help make balloons after finishing their homework. The process of making balloons was much smoother because the members were more familiar with the entire process of constantly making balloons. As a result, the work was much faster. During the process of making balloons, we may still have a few explosions, but our members can now hear this sound without fear. With the joint efforts of the members, we have completed 20 balloons that are pikachu’s, rabbits, pandas, and frogs. Our parents supervised the members as they put the balloons into bags, this balloons will be sent to the consumer’s child’s birthday party tomorrow. The parents chose what they think would fit the children the best, like if they love Pokémon, they would get pikachus, if they like water animals they would get frogs, and so on. The parents liked helping us because our goal helped the community. We hope the children have a pleasant time playing!
We would like to thank the parents who ordered balloons from us. Your generosity has brought our branch closer and achieved our goal of building libraries for children in impoverished areas of Africa.
