AYLUS Raritan Valley Branch members have continuously volunteered in our Overseas tutoring program over the past year, with tutors teaching children English and often working with multiple tutees weekly. All profits our young volunteers have made go to the organization. Thanks to our young volunteers’ efforts and dedication, we have raised considerable funds to donate to charity.
In previous years, we have sent monetary donations to teachers on DonorsChoose.org and donated directly to the East Brunswick High School to help fund club activities. In 2023-2024, we decided to do a mix of both, partnering with the East Brunswick Education Foundation, who would match our $3,500 donation, leaving a total of $7,000 to help fund East Brunswick teachers and improve the classroom environment for East Brunswick schools. We thank the East Brunswick Education Foundation for this opportunity and their contribution to the donation! With their help, we can make a greater impact and benefit the community more with this donation.
Our branch also did an All of Us fundraiser to promote the All of Us research program and successfully fundraised $412. Together with a few other AYLUS branches, we donated $1000 to our AYLUS headquarters through All of Us.
