On September 22th, AYLUS Syosset President Alyssa Huang, Jessica Zhu jointly taught their 5th art learning program. Members brought their own art supplies including paper, watercolors, brushes, markers, oil pastel and colored pencils to the program room (host: secretary Rachel Zhang). Teachers brought drawing books detailing the drawing processes of cars, animals, and people. Members welcomed a different rotation of students, teaching a total of six students ranging from ages 5-10, with students coming from different districts. Teachers taught how to use reference images of the kids’ favorite animals, cartoon characters, sports items and other objects such as houses, princesses and samurai. Students experimented with using alcohol markers and graphite pencils. The kids were able to exercise their creativity through their art.
Each teacher taught one half of the class.
