On September 24th, 2023, Murrieta AYLUS members conducted a beach cleanup.
The volunteers started around the park area, happy to find that there wasn’t as much trash as usual. They then moved on around the trails surrounding the beach area, picking up stray pieces of plastic, food wrappers, and more. Going down to the shore, they found a few stray food wrappers and some straws. Circling around to the parking lot, they found a shattered plastic take out container, picking up the pieces individually. Finding stray cigarettes and scraps of paper along the sidewalk, they then threw away their bags of trash.
