Riverside County AYLUS members jumped into action after the group learned about the need for handmade toys for kids in foster care. The members discussed what toys to create and decided to make teddy bears out of towels. The members gathered the supplies, such as towels, ribbons, and rubber bands, and then got to work. The towels were folded and then shaped with the help of rubber bands and ribbons. Once done, the members added some handwritten and hand-drawn cards to the bears. These toys will hopefully bring a smile to the children’s faces when they receive them.
