Our summer break has finally begun. All branch members cannot wait to start our third time fundraiser for shipping cost of Libraries with Love project. According to google statistics, Frisco Commons Park is actually the best place to hold our fundraiser and Sunday is the best day for fundraiser.
On May 20th 2023, eight members of our branch gathered together at Frisco Commons Park. We received a donation of twenty handmade soaps from a local small business and we really appreciated their kindness. There were five items on our price list: Lemonade for $1, snow cone for $2, Cotton candy for $3, Gemstone bracelet for $5 and Handmade soap for $5. First we brought ice for snow cone and mixed the lemonade before the event. During the event many visitors asked the purpose of our fundraiser and our members explained how libraries with love worked and spread AYLUS spirit to local communities. We kindly greeted every visitor and received generous donations from them. The bracelets were the best seller as they were reasonably priced with high quality. A kind donor even asked and took a picture with us as she was so proud of us.
