Phoenix AYLUS Transcribes Historical Documents Feb-March 2022

Phoenix AYLUS continues to transcribe historical documents from Citizens Archivist Missions. This month a total of 52 documents were completed by volunteer Amy Xie.

Article Summaries: 

A telegram from Partrick Hurley to Edward Stettinius about a conference Partrick had. It was about Russia and China trying to come to an agreement.

A telegram about a letter from Soong.

A telegram from Moreland to Edward Stettinius about a list Thompson made.

Charles Sawyer sends a telegram to Edward Steetinius about the directions when sending a telegram message to Hoover on the food situation in Europe.

A telegram about a commander’s order for troops to depart.

A telegram about Charles Sawyer reporting on the army that is in Belgium. He said that they were performing better than expected.

A telegram from George Messersmith to Edward Stettinius, asking him to send a letter to the president.

A telegram about the China aid act. They want to protect China from communist governments by giving Chinese people rice, food, and other basic needs.

A telegram about giving democratic freedom to countries.

A telegram from John Leighton Stuart about his meeting with Dr. Sun. They are trying to stop communism in China.

A telegram about the US trying to drive out Communists in countries like China.

A telegram from Walter Donnelly to George C. Marshall. It is about the military army.

A telegram about trying to change Generalissimo’s orders in China.

A telegram about helping the Philippines after the war. America wants to help by assisting them with their economy.

Genls Flory and Winterton were authorized to go to a meeting about zoning in Vienna. 

A list of revisions the Philippines will need to make to revise their Congress.

A detailed list describing a Subject’s whereabouts and what he did.

Subject’s opinions towards Ukraine, Russia, and the United States. 

An excerpt from a letter sent by Brody. It is about how much he makes in a month in Oblast.

A document about Subject’s conversations with Martha.

Subject visited villages in raions in Ukraine.

A letter inviting Evelyn Walker as a member for the Red Cross Nursing Service.
