During the first week of June 2020, AYLUS-Phoenix members worked with the branch adviser for 7 hours to write the English version of the Annual Report for the 2019-20 PVSA reporting period. In the report, members wrote sections on the various events and projects and added pictures of the branch at these service events throughout the year, thus demonstrating the impact that the Phoenix Branch has had on their community this year. The overall format of the report was similar to that of the report written in Mandarin a few weeks earlier, with a few small updates to the information due to more current statistics, particularly concerning the COVID-19 pandemic. Both reports have been attached to this article.
From writing and reading the report, AYLUS-Phoenix members were able to see how the branch had grown over the past year from a small organization with only a few members to a much larger one with almost 100 members. In addition, they could see how the volunteer work and service that they did was able to serve the community, both prior to and during the COVID-19 pandemic. With this, they could also reflect on the past year and use that to look forward to having another successful year as the Phoenix Branch seeks to continue its high level of service to the community and work to improve society and serve its members.
The members that participated in this event were the following: Michael Chen, who worked in cooperation with the branch adviser, Yueli Liu.
