The North Oakland Branch serves the Hopi Community at Arizona from July 22 to July 31.

On July 22 to July 31, the Korean Community of Michigan traveled to the Hopi Reservation in Arizona to help with community service projects and create a summer camp for the kids there. Among the Korean Community, 4 members of the North Oakland Branch were present. Upon arriving there, we helped create a deck for the community center for the Hopi peoples. With the construction of the deck, we hosted a summer camp for the kids. The summer camp consisted of stations such as arts and crafts, games, science, and foods. In each station, the kids learned something valuable and were able to take something home. Many of the members grew close with several of the children. It was sad to say goodbye, but it is nice to know that we left the Hopi reservation in a better state than before. With high hopes, we hope to go there next year to see them again!
