Pearland Branch Volunteers for Data Tracking Project of LSA November-December 2023

As a long-time partner of AYLUS Pearland, light and salt association (LSA) stated their need for a data tracking system in order to better track their volunteer events and classes progress. One of AYLUS Pearland alumni, Aaron Wu, led this project with the internship from LSA. AYLUS members Jonathan Niu, Matthew Niu, Aiden Li, Katherine Wu and Alvin Zheng joined this project as volunteers. They started from scratch, using Apex Oracle platform, built a database called Innovaflow. This database takes data entry from excel files or manual entry, integrate all the volunteers and members’ information, as well as projects and events information. End users can update database as needed, as a result, various reports and analyses will be output automatically. Because AYLUS has the similar needs for such a database, volunteers also applied same strategy to help AYLUS Pearland built a similar database, and expect to expand to other branches.

During the past two months, the volunteers continued to work on improving the database to make it more user-friendly and setting up all users’ accounts. In addition, they also created new workspaces for other AYLUS branches.

Job duties:

Jonathan Niu, Matthew Niu: Creating accounts for all users, making new workspace for other AYLUS branches, calculate statistics, generate reports and data entry.

Alvin Zheng: create accounts for all users.
