On November 11th, the Pearland Branch took a significant step by hosting the inaugural SMILE West Houston Inclusive Play Date. At the West Houston Chinese Church in the afternoon, dedicated AYLUS Pearland volunteers orchestrated a heartwarming event. Their efforts culminated in the setup of diverse activity stations that offered an array of engaging experiences such as cotton candy making, ring tossing, face painting, coloring sessions, balloon twisting, crafting turkey headbands, and bucket drumming.
Volunteers warmly guided both children with special needs and their siblings through these delightful activity stations. The atmosphere buzzed with joy and excitement as everyone wholeheartedly immersed themselves in each activity. The event proved to be a wonderful success, fostering a sense of inclusivity and happiness among all participants.
