AYLUS Great Neck Branch organized an event for special needs children on 10/06

On October 6, AYLUS Great Neck Branch organized an event that offered an opportunity for special needs children engage in physical activity like playing soccer, frisbee and football. On top of that, we also provided leftover halloween costumes that are available for trade. The children and our branch members alike enjoyed the 1.5 hours of exercise which is beneficial for everyone’s physical and mental health.

It is October, which means it is halloween season. While a stunning new costume is a great show-off to your friends, buying them is very harmful to the environment as there are 92 million tons of textile waste every year. This event held by us not only offers new costumes to everyone in the community, but also safes the environment in the process. Just today, we’ve already given away four pieces of costumes. Overall, today’s events was very worthwhile, and I’m very proud that we had the opportunity to organize it.
