Murrieta AYLUS Helps STAT Horse Sanctuary (17th) (9/02/2023)

Reported by Adora Xiao :

On Saturday September 2, Murrieta AYLUS members lended a hand to the STAT horse sanctuary. As the daylight crept up, the volunteers began cleaning out the old hay lining the chicken and duck pens. As the waste was delivered to a faraway trash pile through a wheelbarrow, they also began working in the goat area. The goats appeared a little too enthusiastic, trying to knock over the wheelbarrow and running around chasing each other. Stepping over them, the volunteers cleaned their droppings and old hay, before finishing up in the larger pen for pigs, goats, sheep, and the like. With some outside help, the cleanup was finished promptly, and all of the waste was delivered to the pile. The volunteers applauded each other for their hard work, before bidding goodbye to the sanctuary.

Volunteers :

Wei Liu / Adora Xiao / Caien (Daisy)  Chen : 4.5 hrs ea

Aiying Lu / Hsin Chen (Julie)  Lu / Jessica Lu : 4 hrs ea
