On Thursday, June 15, 2023, 4 AYLUS volunteers were joined by a student swim coach, Thomas Liang. The 4 AYLUS volunteers learned by watching Thomas instruct the students so that they could improve their own teaching skills.
Thomas taught Andy Zhao how to improve his kicking technique and taught him to kick from one end of the pool to the other with a kickboard. Then, Eddie Fu and Erick Gao taught Andy how to do a bit of freestyle strokes. Timothy Fan learned how to swim backstroke with Thomas and Edwin went over these skills once Thomas left. Edwin Gao corrected Kevin Zhao’s freestyle technique. Erick and Ethan Gao taught Kevin Liao how to kick with a kickboard.
