AYLUS Greater Triangle 9/11/2022 Honor 9/11 by Gardening and Supporting Local Firefighters”

The Greater Triangle of AYLUS gathered at the Cary Fire Department Garden on September 11, 2022 to commemorate the 20th anniversary of the 9/11 terrorist attacks by planting vegetables and fruit. Led by President Tianyi Han, volunteers are hard at work growing tomatoes, peppers, cucumbers and other vegetables in gardens maintained by the Cary Fire Department to promote healthy eating and community engagement.
AYLUS volunteers also delivered water, cookies, and watermelons to the firefighters, thanking the firefighters for their dedication to the community and honoring the brave first responders who lost their lives on September 11, 2001. The firefighters explained the use of firefighting equipment and their work to the volunteers. Volunteers sincerely admire them.
