AYLUS Bellaire Branch volunteered at the Nature Discovery Center for International Mud Day on June 24, 2022

The AYLUS Bellaire Branch volunteered at the Nature Discovery Center in Bellaire, Texas on Friday, June 24, 2022, from 9 am to 12:00 pm.

This year, the Nature Discovery Center is holding an early celebration for International Mud Day, which is coming up on June 29. Children in the community can entertain themselves all day, engaging in the many mud-filled activities. Volunteers were given the opportunity to participate in laborious tasks under the sun in preparation for the event. They contributed in sifting through compost in order to fill up wheelbarrows of fine soil, collecting various elements of nature to decorate the area, cleaning up the communal trash cans, and ridding the area of potentially harmful branches, sticks, and stones.

There were ten volunteers that partook in the volunteer activity (3 hours): Julia Hu, Samuel Hu, Aria Jin, Eric Li, Isabel Li, Ryan Li, Emerald Tang, Kyle Tang, Miranda Wang, and Zachary Xiao.
