On June 25th, 2022, the AYLUS Orlando branch adopted Jamestown park and picked up lots of trash, weeds, and renovated the park overall in a timespan of over 2 hours. Jamestown Park is a 1 acre park located south of Oviedo in the Jamestown community. Amenities include a playground and lighted basketball court. The Cross Seminole Trail is also less than 1 mile to the north of the park.
The participants did the following:
- Pick up roughly 2 full bags of trash from the area of the entire park
- Weed the playground and clean up a lot of rogue debris that was scattered throughout the area
This is the first cleanup of 36. This event occurred on June 25th, 2022.
