AYLUS Pearland Volunteered and fundraised at Pearland’s Farmer’s Market, December 18.

On Friday, December 17th from 4:30 pm to 6:30 pm, AYLUS Pearland helped set up for Pearland Farmer’s Market, which was hosted by Keep Pearland Beautiful (KPB). In the past, AYLUS has collaborated with KPB many times with events such as decorating Independence Park and Winterfest. Pearland Farmer’s Market is a relatively new event and gives local businesses and organizations a chance to promote themselves. AYLUS Pearland was given the opportunity to create a booth at the market. Volunteers helped set up the Farmer’s Market by dividing Independence Park’s pavilion into equal sections in preparation for each of the vendors to sell their products.

On Saturday, December 18th, volunteers helped set up AYLUS’s booth from 7:00 am to 9:00 am. Volunteers assisted by unloading products from vehicles and organizing the merchandise. After the Farmer’s Market started, volunteers came to help out at the booth through different shifts (9am-11am and 11am-1pm). The market was a great place for volunteers to become more comfortable with their public speaking and marketing skills. AYLUS Pearland looks forward to participating in the Farmer’s Market again in January.

The volunteers were:

7:00am-9:00am (2 hr): Matthew Li, Aiden Li, Karen Xu, Alexander Sun, William Sun

10:00am-1:00pm (3 hr): Zixuan Liu, Haoqi Zhang

9:00am-11:00am (2 hr): Gavin Yang

11:00am-1:00pm (2 hr): Tina Dong, Kang Zhang

7:00am-1:00pm (6 hr): Kate Liu
