AYLUS San Diego continues Humanities Challenge Camp (74th) on the Fifth Week of July 2021

During the fifth week of July, AYLUS San Diego Branch volunteers continued their Humanities Challenge Camp Program. The program allows volunteers to provide English/Chinese reading, writing, speaking, and communication to their students, and also to teach students history or foreign languages such as Spanish.
They had conversations over Zoom or Facetime, teaching students about topics they are interested in, such as movies, games, and school. Volunteers placed an emphasis on helping their students grow accustomed to speaking and writing in the taught language. Their language challenge camp activities included:

Haobin Cao taught Miranda Xue Chinese on Saturday, 7/31, for an hour and a half.

Kyle Hou tutored Alice Yang and Linda Yang on Spanish on Saturday, 7/31, for an hour and a half.

Ryan Hua tutored Darren Cui, Katherine Backues, Annabelle Liao, Eva Mathers, and Tristian Shi on American History on Sunday, 8/1, for an hour and a half.

In total, there were 11 participants in this event, with 3 volunteers.

The AYLUS San Diego Committee organized the 74th online Language Challenge Camp activity on July 31st, 2021.
