On June 28th, Members of AYLUS Laredo (Salvador Munoz and Matthew Chen) collected water and non-perishable foods for the Bethany House of Laredo.
In the past few months, Bethany House has required increasing amounts of water, due to the fact that the demand had grown in response to the Summer heat. In order to assist Bethany House, AYLUS Laredo organized a food drive within its members, collecting 112 bottles of water, 14 cans of non-perishable foods, and also some other miscellaneous foods to send to the homeless shelter.
Members were responsible for the collection of the goods over the course of two weeks, event advertisement among friends and acquaintances, the transportation to a predetermined storage point, and also for loading aforementioned items into the Bethany House kitchen.
