Williamsville AYLUS Fundraised $113 for AAPI Heritage Month Book Drive on Thursday, 2021.5.27

May is Asian American and Pacific Islander Heritage Month. Williamsville AYLUS volunteers fundraised at the farmer’s market on 2021.5.27. The kids set up an exhibition booth to display handicrafts and a picture board to show the cultures of 10 Asian countries.

To fundraise, the volunteers used their music and art talent to attract attention. Berny and Aaron played cello. Ava played piano. Other participants made Chinese Knots as small thank you gifts for the donors. 50 flyers were distributed in the farmer’s market. More than 100 people stopped by the booth. Totally, we fundraised $113 for the AAPI Heritage Month Book Drive and donated the books to Baker Elementary School and Eisenhower Elementary School.
